Susan Ault

Susan is relatively new to Duluth, and came here looking toward retirement from professional life to enjoy the shores of Lake Superior and life with her family—which includes her husband Rogier Gregoire, children and grandchildren, and two large dogs.  A community activist and organizer, Susan quickly found Clayton Jackson McGhie as a place to connect with others around issues of race and equity and to take action to advance the Mission.  Susan has over 40 years of experience in serving on non-profit boards and holding leadership positions.  As a practitioner and as an administrator for child and family service agencies, Susan has worked in both government and non-profit community-based agencies.  She has extensive experience in non-profit management. She has won awards for her work to develop innovative programs to better meet the need of families through systemic reform, and also to address the disproportionate number of children in foster care.  Susan is now retired from Casey Family Programs, an operating foundation based in Seattle, WA., where she was a Senior Director in Strategic Consulting.
