Join the Clayton Jackson McGhie Memorial, Inc. for our 2019 Annual Day of Remembrance on Friday, June 14, 2019 to honor the victims of the 1920 Duluth lynchings. This day comes ninety-nine years after a mob of 10,000 community members lined the streets of Duluth to participate in the lynching of Elias Clayton, Elmer Jackson, and Isaac McGhie.

Clayton Jackson McGhie Memorial, Inc. will commemorate the lives of the three men with two gatherings:

Friday, June 14 at 12pm at the memorial location 1st St & 2nd Ave E

Gather with us to honor the memory of the three young men who were lynched in 1920. Special guests include our new scholarship recipient Kyra Word as well as others. We will also reveal important announcements for our 100-year Commemorative events happening in the year 2020.

Friday, June 14 at 5:30pm at the Park Hill Cemetery (2500 Vermilion Rd)

Please join us at the gravesite of Elias Clayton, Elmer Jackson and Isaac McGhie for a gathering that includes a short graveside service and an open forum for the community.
